The SAIT Polytechnic School of Hospitality and Tourism is one of Canada’s leading hospitality schools, offering students the opportunity to learn through action-based learning and industry partnerships. There are four full-time diploma programs available here:
Baking and Pastry Arts
Hospitality Management
Professional Cooking
Travel and Tourism
The hospitality management program lasts two years and provides students with the training to work as a restaurant or hotel manager, special events coordinator or even start their own business in the hospitality sector. Courses included in the program cover a wide range of subjects such as business management, food and beverage, human resources and marketing. Students can learn practical skills by working in the school’s on-campus restaurant.
89 percent of the program’s graduates find employment with a median starting salary of CA$39,000. Applications each year are usually accepted until the program’s Fall start date. More information on admissions requirements can be found on the school’s website.
