Ask the students at the University of Oxford and they’ll tell you there’s a lot more to geography than just colouring in maps. There has to be, otherwise there’s no way they’d still be top of the Geography subject rankings ahead of arch-rivals the University of Cambridge.

Fittingly for a subject with such a global outlook, a wide variety of countries are represented in this year’s rankings. 38 different countries have at least one university in this year’s top 200.
