Harvard University remains the number one destination for Sociology students in the world, making it four years at the top of our subject rankings. The majority of the top 10 also remains unchanged, with Yale University (ranked joint eighth) the only institution breaking in.
American universities may dominate towards the top of this year’s ranking, taking 11 of the top 15 places, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t options for students from elsewhere in the world. Oxford and the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) lead the way in the UK, while the National University of Singapore (=15th), University of Toronto (17th) and Australian National University (18th) provide some geographical spread to the top 20.
