Graduate studies are provided by Master Degree Department and Post graduate and Docoral Department.1. Admission to the Master's course (full-time and by correspondence) on government paid and self paid basis.2. Duration of training - full-time for 2 years, by correspondence - 2.5 years.3. Applicants should be university graduates having a relevant education document to be enrolled for the first year of tuition.4. Recovery Procedure to proceed the second course of study is fulfilled in the order established by the university on the basis of a personal application.5. Application documents are collected by Master Program department within the time limit ste by these rules.6. For personal application shall be supplemented by the following:• a certified copy or the original of a state certificate of higher education;• a photocopy of the identification document;• 4 photos, size 2,5 x3, 5 (in color).7. Applicants who have special rights to be enroll into higher educational institutions as established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as applicants with disabilities when submitting personal statements additionally provide originals or certified copies of relevant documents.8. Documents submission is carried out in 3 stages:• for full-time, government funded basis - June 24 - July 31;• the full-time contractual form of training August 5 - August 23;• for distance learning September 2 - September 20.9. Entrance examinations are held in the Master's examination, those approved by the Rector. Examination committees are formed for each master's direction (the program).10. Dates of the entrance tests:• for full-time training at the expense of the federal budget on August 5 - August 16;• full-time contractual form of training 26 August - 30 August;• for distance learning September 23 - September 27.11. Foreign citizens from foreign countries are admitted on a contractual basis for training in the procedure established by the federal executive authority and the present rulesBelgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov (BSTU) is an educational center for the training of highly professional specialists, to successfully solve the challenges associated with an increase in the competitiveness of domestic industry and developing the most promising areas in science. It is post- graduate and doctoral department, which ensures training of these specialists at the university.Department of Postgraduate Studies of the University has been functioning since 1973 and doctoral department was opened in 1999. For nearly 40-year history of the post-graduate and 13-year-old doctoral department more than 700 theses for the degree of candidate of sciences and 60 theses for the degree of Doctor of Science were successfully defended.At present, about 60 doctors and 40 candidates of sciences and professors, including more than 40 honorary workers of Higher Education of the Russian Federation and honorary workers of higher professional education in Russia are supervising more than 400 graduate students and those seeking for a scientific degree.Training of highly qualified personnel through graduate school covers over 28 specialization areas. Since 1993, foreign graduates enrolled in post graduate course, successfully defend their PhD dissertations. Post-graduate training is provided with modern science laboratory facilities, which maintain a high level of training aimed at constructive and creative work for the benefit of the countries.The University has five doctoral dissertation councils, which may conduct defenses in 9 specialties for the degree of candidate of sciences and for the degree of Doctor of Science.
