MPU’s postgraduate programmes are designed to cultivate in students a depth of academic knowledge, enhance their self-learning abilities, develop their research skills, and foster a global perspective. These programmes aim to equip students with the necessary tools to tackle practical challenges and nurture them to become quality researchers, composite expertise and professionals in their specialised fields.
MPU offers master’s and doctoral degree programmes which are in line with global development and industrial trends. Academic programmes are offered by six faculties, including Applied Sciences, Health Sciences and Sports, Languages and Translation, Arts and Design, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Business, together with the Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies, and the Nursing Academy jointly established with Peking University Health Science Center. Master’s degree programmes and doctoral degree programmes are in a diverse range of disciplines such as technology and innovation, health sciences, sports sciences, languages and translation, arts, public administration and services, business and management. Master's degree programmes are two years in duration. Doctoral degree programmes are three years in duration.
Furthermore, MPU offers a number of dual degrees programmes in collaboration with reputable universities worldwide, providing study-aboard opportunities and cutting-edge learning resources from both universities.
While MPU’s educational provision is widely recognised by international accreditation institutions, the links with universities and the industries have been particularly strong, creating excellent opportunities for students to build their career networks. MPU fully supports students to conduct interdisciplinary research and collaborative research. Academic achievements are globally staged through various platforms such as international conferences, academic publications, research exhibitions, and promotion of patent applications.
