Established in 2001, MIT College of Engineering (MITCOE) hascome to be known as the destination of choice for most aspiring engineers, notonly from Maharashtra but also from the rest of India. MITCOE has evolved into atechnology savvy mentor of engineers. The college is situated in a serene part of the spectacular yet quietcampus at Kothrud in Pune. Its teaching and learning methodology is highlyparticipative and interactive. It encourages students to be team players,rather than mute receivers in the knowledge building process. Students’ opinionis often considered in many academic and other matters without compromising theinstitute’s discipline. For this, the college has put in place several systemsand appropriate controls to ensure their positive implementation. MITCOE areamong a few institutes, who are ISO certified.

MAHARASHTRA ACADEMY OF ENGINEERING & EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH (MAEERS)

MAEER was the first step of the revolution in the education scenario of Maharashtra. Maharashtra, the third largest state in the country, with a rich heritage, known as the land of saints and also, the one which gave great leaders to the world had yet to progressed in the field of education.
This realization embarked the journey of MAEER - in 1983 with the establishment of Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), one of the first private engineering college in Maharashtra which still remains the flagship institute of the group.

With the sole objective of meeting the long felt need of a centre of scientific and educational research, which would meet the challenges of the present and the future technical advancements of the fast changing world, MIT Group of Institutions was established as a society and charitable trust. Since then, the MIT Group of Institutions have grown leaps and bounds and has made a strong impact in the field of education throughout the country. With more than 10 campuses in the state of Maharashtra covering almost 1000 acres of area, the MIT Group provides education in the fields of Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Marine Engineering, Insurance, Distance Education, Telecom Management, Lighting, Design, Food & Technology, Retail Management, Masters in Business Administration, School of Government and also School Education.  At any given point of time, more than 50000 students are pursuing various courses all over our 65+ institutes.

An initial step taken by a great visionary Dr. Vishwanath Karad, who nurtured a strong conviction to provide the best of education to the society today has resulted in a strong educational realm. MIT Group today boasts of the best infrastructure facilities and application of varied teaching methodologies. Presently, we have more than 4000 teaching staff and almost more than 6000 non teaching staff.
