The Business School is located at the gateway to Newcastle Helix, which is where business meets science. Our position within Newcastle Helix helps us shape the future identity of the School and our students.

Student Life

Our Students’ Union offer a range of activities throughout the year, with over 180 societies, 60+ sports clubs and endless opportunities to have fun.
The Business School is a short walk to the city centre, where there is adventure and culture on your doorstep.
From the Quayside to the Grainger Market, our city hosts so much to see. If you want to get out of the city, no problem, we have great bus networks and our Metro rail system so you can see what the region has to offer.
The countryside and coast are very accessible to the main city centre with our transport links.
Admissions
We welcome applications from high performing students from China. Students with a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a recognised Chinese university may be considered for entry onto a postgraduate course. We will assess your application using a 4-tier system. Requirements vary by course and depend on which tier your university belongs to. During your time with as a student and for up to three years after you graduate from Newcastle University Business School you will have access to our award-winning Careers Services.
Get one-to-one support from our dedicated Business School Careers Consultants who can offer guidance on all aspects of career planning and application writing. This could be your graduate career, further studies or starting your own business. Our Careers Hub is open Monday to Friday and our team can help with career questions.
The School hosts a comprehensive suite of employability events, including employer insights presentations and workshops, networking events, skills development workshops and trips to employer sites. Our events allow you to grow your network by making connections with alumni and business professionals in your industry of interest.
As a student, you will free have access to thousands of online courses with LinkedIn Learning as well as the opportunity to gain a Microsoft Office Specialist certification. This is your chance to personal your development and complete courses in your own time.
