Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University (NMSTU) is one of the oldest universities in the Southern Urals. Through its 85-year history, University is known as a multidisciplinary scientific and educational center, famous for its scientific schools in the country and abroad.
NMSTU carrying out an educational activities in areas such as metallurgy and mechanical engineering, energy and automated systems, natural science and standardization, construction and architecture, economics and management, mining and transport, information technologies, pedagogy and psychology, history, linguistics, physical culture and sports. About 14,000 students study at NMSTU in 328 areas of higher and post-secondary vocational education. The university has 6 Dissertation Defence Boards in 11 scientific specialties, employs more than 2500 lecturers and support staff, including more than one hundred professors, post-doc fellows, associate professors and about 500 Ph.D. holders.
Today, NMSTU successfully cooperates with over 60 foreign universities, foundations and companies from 28 countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Japan, India, Bulgaria, Brazil and China. Today more than 400 foreign students are studying in NMSTU from different countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Vietnam, Cyprus, France, Italy.
The NMSTU campus has modern infrastructure with comfortable recreational and cultural entertainment facilities, including several public gardens with a total area of more than 10,000 m2. There are 11 dormitories on the NMSTU campus, where more than two thousand students from out of the city live.
