PUCMM is the first private university of the Dominican Republic, founded in 1962.
PUCMM is centrally located in both its botanical-garden-like campus at kilometer 1.5 of Duarte’s freeway in Santiago de los Caballeros and in its urban styled campus at Lincoln Ave. and Bolivar Street in Santo Domingo.
Campus in Santiago is an icon of the city. It occupies 950,0002 meters and it is an ecological lung of the region and a beautiful garden –campus that invites to study and to investigate. It was designed to preserve the topography and the original beauty of the landscape and, at the same time, to create an appropriate environment to the development of academic and spiritual life of the students, teachers and other members of the university.
PUCMM is best known for the excellence of its study programs, students’ services, and the resulting preparation of its graduates. In addition, its postgraduate programs, many of which offer dual degrees in conjunction with prestigious foreign universities, present various opportunities for research and academic pursuits.
The main language of teaching is Spanish. There are some courses taught through the Foreign Languages Department in English. However, due to the strength of our English program, many of our Spanish-taught courses are able to use various printed materials in English.
