RAMAIAH MEDICAL COLLEGE (RMC)

The programmes enable learning through theory classes, clinical training and research activities as mandated by the Medical Council of India (MCI) guidelines. The students are taught through lectures, journal clubs, seminars, CMEs, conferences, case discussions, and skill training at the Advanced Learning Center and the Hospital.

A. MS/MS

The MD/MS course is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, India. 

MS/MD is offered in the following courses: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Radio Diagnosis, Paediatrics, Anaesthesia, Radiotherapy, Respiratory Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, General Surgery, OBG, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Oto-Rhino-Laryngology.

B. PG DIPLOMA

The PG Diploma course is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, India.

PG Diploma is offered in the following courses: OBG (DGO), Radio Diagnosis (DMRD), Paediatrics (DCH), Dermatology (DDVL), Ophthalmology (DO), Anaesthesia (DA) and Orthopaedics.

C. DM/M.Ch.

The DM is offered in the following courses: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology and Gastroenterology.

The M.Ch. is offered in the following courses: Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery and Paediatric Surgery.

D. FELLOWSHIP

Fellowships are offered in 3 disciplines:

1. Fellowship in Perinatal Medicine - This course, affiliated to RGUHS, focuses on the training of Paediatricians in the basics of neonatal care. At Ramaiah, preference is given to candidates from rural areas to train and upgrade their skills, and enable them to practise these advanced skills in rural/ Tier II towns. Through this fellowship, we hope to effectively train doctors to bring about change in their communities through better clinical practice.

2. Indian Diploma In Critical Care Medicine - The Ramaiah Medical College is one of the few colleges in India to offer a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine and full-time Intensive coverage for ICUs. The course is affiliated to the Indian Society for Critical Care Medicine.

3. Post MBBS Critical Care Certificate Course

E. Phd

Ramaiah Medical College offers Ph.D programmes in Microbiology, Physiology, Pathology and Community Medicine. 

The duration of the Ph.D programme will be from the date of provisional registration to the date of submission of thesis. The candidate can register for Ph.D course either as as full-time or as a part-time research scholar.
