The State Tourism and Hotel Management School (SSSAT) trains managers and staff for the entire tourism industry, namely hotels, bars, restaurants, leisure-time management companies, travel and transport companies etc.
SSSAT is an institute of the Canton of Ticino, officially recognised by the Swiss Confederation, and is part of the commercial vocational school (ICEC) of the canton of Ticino.SSSAT is divided into two sections, each with its own curriculum:
Hospitality management (issuing a Swiss federal diploma since 2000)
Tourism management (issuing a Swiss federal diploma since 1996)
SSAT is a training institute whose objective it is to train young people to become middle managers in companies operating in the tourism industry. Since 1998, SSAT also offers continous training for management operating in tourism and hospitality. SSAT’s Continuing Education section provides such courses in the form of in-service training, seminars and workshops.
