1. What is the status of planned campus admission open days/tours?
Admissions and campus tours will all be done remotely and digitally. Taylor’s is running Digital Open Day till 30th April for any enquiries & new enrollment.
2. How can applicants contact the university about their application?

3. How is the university handling applicants whose exams have been cancelled?
At Taylor’s, In-person examinations will be replaced with alternative forms of assessments conducted online or in other forms. An alternative online assessment is not a lesser form of assessment, but a different assessment to achieve the same aim.
3 (a). This is to understand what Taylor’s measures are in regards to recruiting students with exams being cancelled such as A level and O level that has been cancelled for the June sitting. Would Taylor be having alternate assessment?
As currently we understand that Cambridge will only able to make the announcement on 07 April 2020, if student not intend to withdrawn the June exam registration, CAIE need to award student final grade based on the existing continuous assessment /internal exam marks (but subject to CAIE confirmation) as the June sitting exam is cancel. Another option, student is given a choice to withdrawn the exam before certain timeline, it consider not register for June sitting exam. It will not award any final grade as it is consider student not register the exam. So, we need to wait for CAIE confirmation on 07 April 2020.

4. What advice is the university offering to applicants unable to take an English-language test due to centers being closed?
We do provide the English test online. Applicants can arrange to do the test online.
5. How is the university supporting applicants whose visa applications have been delayed?
Applications can still registered first with the university and start their course in the comfort of their own country till the situation becomes better.
For new students, the eOrientation will commence on 10 April (Friday) for Taylor’s and this will be done online to ensure social distancing is practiced.
All regular classes for new and returning students will commence via e-learning in TIMeS (student learning management system) from 13 April (Monday) until 31 May (Sunday). For new students, the guide to using TIMeS will be shared with you during orientation. This is to be accessed from the safety of your home as you are not required to meet with fellow students or lecturers face to face. All interactions will strictly be done via online chats that are available. Face to Face lectures, tutorials, practicals and assessment will commence from 1 June (Monday).
6. Is the university still accepting applications? Are there any restrictions being placed on international applicants?
Taylor’s is still accepting applications from international with no restrictions. However, Taylor’s has explained to students that there may be delayed in the student pass application due to the current Movement Control Order which all the relevant government agencies are close during the MOC period.
7. How are applications for university accommodation being handled?
Taylor’s Hostel currently only accepts applicant bookings once they have been accepted to study at Taylor’s University or Taylor’s College.
With regards to the Movement Control Order by the Malaysian government as well as social distancing, we no longer accept walk-in enquiries. Applicants may refer to our website (taylorshostel.taylors.edu.my) for information on rooms, facilities and services. Application Forms are available for download, which the applicant must fill in and email back to us to initiate the booking process. Payments can be done via bank or telegraphic transfer. Applicants may also call in to the office (03-5631 3400, Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm) for further assistance and information.
8. Is the university making any changes to entry requirements (i.e. test results, required documents)?
There will be on-going reviews on entry requirement takes place, but no specific adjustments have been made for current situation.
