The postgraduate academic offer at UMECIT includes specializations, master’s as well as PhD programs that are dedicated to the training and development of students’ research in various disciplinary areas. UMECIT is committed to the training of highly experienced professionals, and offers on-campus, distance learning and blended learning degree programs.

Tuition fees
 The average tuition fees for an international student to study an undergraduate degree is approximately $230 per month.

Much like at undergraduate level, scholarships and additional funding for postgraduate students are also available.

How to apply
Specialization and master’s admissions

• Possess a professional degree, a degree or its equivalent or professional careers or a related degree issued by a duly recognized institution
  (Photocopies of the diploma for international students must be recognized and certified)
• Certificate of qualifications corresponding to the professional career
  (Photocopies of the diploma for international students must be recognized and certified)
• Have a cumulative academic index in the minimum degree of 1.5
• Submit applicant letter
• Provide an up-to-date curriculum vitae
• Provide two passport-sized photographs
• Undertake a medical healthcare check
• Complete the registration form
  

PhD admissions
Please note that the admissions team will take into consideration your previous studies, the interview, recommendations and other requirements that are considered relevant to the respective program.

• Possess a master's degree or equivalent, obtained with a minimum index of 2.0 or its equivalent, accepted by the University of Panama
  (If this has been awarded by an international institution, the degree must be duly registered and authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that issues the degree)
• Authenticated photocopy of titles and credits
• Authorized translation into Spanish of titles and credits
• Presentation of your doctoral thesis research, including the justification, description of research, objectives, theoretical framework, methodological framework and basic bibliography
• Certification of basic knowledge of the Spanish language for international students whose native language is not Spanish
• Possess basic computer skills
• Copy of birth certificate or passport
• Undertake a medical healthcare check
