Université Fédérale de Toulouse
About
The Federal University in Toulouse came into existence in July 2015 as the result of merging several pre-existing academic institutions and associations. Spread across the French region of Midi-Pyrénées, these institutions include Toulouse Business School, Toulouse 1 University Capitole and Paul Sabatier University.
Whichever of the individual institutions within the Federal University that you end up studying at, you will be ideally based to experience the best that life in the Midi-Pyrénées region has to offer. The area is known for its sharp contrasts, with the areas around Toulouse densely populated while the region is very rural and sparse further from the city. A mere 30-minute drive is enough to take you from one extreme to the other.
The largest region in France, Midi-Pyrénées has more farms than any other region in the country. Wine and food are produced here in vast quantities, contributing to the national economy. In recent years, consulting and telemarketing companies have become more established here too, particularly in Toulouse.
Located halfway between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, Midi-Pyrénées is a perfect blend of both cultures. Anyone choosing to study at the Federal University in Toulouse will have all this to explore and much more.
