The College of Nyíregyháza came into being in 2000 as a result of the integration of György Bessenyei Teachers Training College (1962) and the Nyíregyháza Agricultural College Faculty of the Agricultural University of Gödöll? (1961). The college with its five faculties has developed into an institution meeting the requirements and expectations of the 21st century. In the past few years the college has undergone spectacular academic and infrastructural development that has made the name of the institution well-known all over the country. The five faculties do research and train students in arts, education, social studies, economics, fine arts, technology, agriculture and science.
The number of undergraduate courses is 33, with 60 specializations within that, there is post-graduate training in a total of 9 teaching subjects, 1 specialized subject, there are 22 further training courses and 20 post-secondary training courses. Those who visit the College of Nyíregyháza will, upon entering the campus, experience the aesthetics, the harmony and power of the environment, dedicated to the future of education.
The power is a reflection of the determination of the students and staff to create new value, to prepare for the future.
