Benha University (BU) aimed to graduate well-qualified students with educational skills that meet the national Egyptian and regional needs. For that purpose BU provided 76 Undergraduate Programs in 146 Scientific Departments. The total number of students in different programs is 100580 students, where 56323 are regular students, 42000 are open-education students and 2257 are ungraduated international students.BU has 5 faculties accredited by the national authority for accreditation in education including the faculty of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Agriculture and Engineering. To cope with the international challenges, the educational programs in BU were updated to compete with the top 50 Universities in the Arabian countries.BU is prepared with well-equipped labs for the students and a teaching hospital where the students in the medical field can pursue their internships. The campus has a large stadium with all kinds of sports. BU adopted the student-centered learning by encouraging students to make effective participation in self-learning process through the use e-courses, applied field researches, and case studies. BU recently adopted new technology in teaching and learning by the distance learning programs, such as skype for business where international students can communicate effectively with their professors.
