We are one of a few stand alone accredited research intensive IS schools in the nation having graduated the most PhDs in MIS the past 14 years than any school in the US. Twenty-one years ago, we were one of 13 universities IBM gifted $2 million to develop Information Systems programs. That said, we have had a legacy of world renown faculty from the founding professor, Paul Gray (PhD, Stanford; one of original innovators of Group Support Systems) to the late Magid Igbaria (PhD, Tel Aviv Univ.; most published researcher in IS) to today?s core faculty who are working at the leading-edge of scholarship in the areas of Knowledge Management and Learning, Network & Telecom, Multimedia Systems, Network Security, Systems Interface Development, Text & Data Mining/Knowledge Discovery, and Community and Medical Informatics. Every quarter, we host the Inland Empire CIO Roundtable as a way to keep connected with the local businesses in the greater Los Angeles area.
