The College of Higher Education, Kecskemét, is at the centre of mechanical, technological, agricultural and pedagogical education in the southern-region of Hungary’s Great Plain. It was founded on 1 January, 2000 through the integration of three long-established, renowned colleges, also popular with students. Since its foundation, our institution has become open to innovation, reacting quickly and flexibly to a range of challenges. As a result, we have enjoyed unrivalled success in many areas.

Our college was the first in Hungary to introduce twin training, based on co-operation between manufacturers and ourselves, with which we have managed to strengthen our wide-range of business connections. Recognising the activity of our college, companies such as Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Ltd. and Knorr-Bremse Brake Systems Ltd. have recently joined to the programme, so that there are currently twenty-five factories taking part in the programme and enjoying constructive experiences.

Our students have also achieved the status of being ‘best in the world’ at something! They have designed and built a vehicle that can travel3082 kmusing only a single litre of petrol! This automobile has become the symbol of the entrepreneurial approach and the encouraging and supportive ethos which boosts the self-confidence of our students.
