Kazakh American Free University is a university of international partnership, with the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev as its Honorary Professor attending the opening ceremony (1994) and presenting the diplomas to the first graduates (1999).
KAFU has successfully passed state certification three times, has a quality certificate issued by NQA Global Assurance United (UK), is among the first in the Republic passed the international accreditation of business programs, implemented by the International Council for Accreditation Business Schools and Programs ACBSP (USA), passed institutional and specialized accreditation of independent Kazakhstani Agency for Quality Assurance in education.
• With the support of the Board of Trustees (USA) about 485 foreign partners from U.S. universities took part in the educational process of KAFU.
• KAFU trained more than 10 000 professionals, including 4 000 with advanced knowledge of English.
• In 2006 KAFU started the Ph.D. program and 14 graduates of the program had successfully defended Ph.D. dissertations in the fields of Management and Jurisprudence.
• 60 KAFU teachers received degrees, went for training or study tours at the best universities in America.
• KAFU successfully partners with 45 universities in the US, Canada, UK, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
