The university is conveniently located in the southern part of the historic city of Kyoto. The spacious, 14-hectare campus provides plenty of greenery despite being in an urban area. The university includes Organization of Educational Research and Practice Centers, the Information Processing Center as well as the library and the University Health Center. There are also 7 schools affiliated with the university (2 primary schools, 2 junior high schools, a high school, a special school and kindergarten).
