萨马拉国立技术大学

Samara State Technical University was founded in 1914. The university’s structure includes 4 institutes, 1 academy and 13 faculties. University provides multilevel training (BSc – MSc – PhD) on a wide range of  areas and profiles for all industries in the region: energy, oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, machine building, transport, food and defense sectors, sphere of information technologies, instrumentation, automation and control in technical systems, materials science and metallurgy, biotechnology, industrial ecology, construction, architecture and design.

More than 18 000 students study at Samara Polytech.

Samara Polytech has 55 international partner universities from Germany, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan and Republic of Azerbaijan. International students come from such countries, as Central and South Africa, Middle East and CIS.

Moreover, university has double degree programs with Lille 1 University – Science and Technology and South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences.

SSTU interacts with large enterprises and carries out scientific researches in the field of synthesis, as well as researches of the properties of substances and materials, machine building, ecology and technogenic safety, IT-technologies, mathematical modelling, chemical and technological processes.

Academic staff improves their qualification annually, including programs of leading Russian and foreign scientific and educational centers. Scientists and experts from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Taiwan, Poland, UK and Argentina are invited as part of the cooperation in educational and scientific projects.

University’s social infrastructure is the system of necessary and available facilities and types of activities for full and efficient students’ living, which includes health care center, center for preventative medicine, health improvement camp, recreation camps and comprehensive support program for the poor students.
