Tver State Technical University (TvSTU)

^{TvSTU was established in 1922.  In 1994 it was awarded a university status.}

^{Currently the university consists of eight Departments. TvSTU has got 48 subdepartments, with the staff being about 400 professors and lecturers. Foreign students are trained at the International Academic Cooperation Department. Guests from more than 40 countries of the world study there.}

^{TvSTU is a regional research leader in nanosystems, energy conservation, housу construction, automation, information technology, peat processing, machine-building, chemical engineering, biotechnologies, etc.}

LIST OF DOCTOR'S DEGREE PROGRAMS OFFERED AT TvSTU

 The university has the following scientific and pedagogical schools:

 1.  Thermophysics and theoretical thermal technology. 

2. Deformable Solid Mechanics. 

3. Catalytic processes in the fine organic synthesis of biologically active agents. 

4. Building materials and components science. 

5. Mathematical computer modeling of information processes. 

6. Socio-philosophical analysis of the problems concerning a man and a society.

^{There appears an Engineering and Industrial Design Center. It is a design engineering bureau with a full cycle of engineering services in the field of design and development of industrial products. Experienced designers and design engineers work there, with the students of TvSTU taking active part in projects. In the Center of Engineering and Industrial Design there is a laboratory of additive technologies (design and rapid prototyping), an industrial design studio (mock-shop), a laboratory of robotics and automation, a laboratory of youth innovative creativity, an engineering printing office.}

^{In 2014-2016, the TvSTU Student Associations Development Program won the contest organized by the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science.}

^{Every year the TvSTU educational programs are included in the Book of the Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. For sure, it is a vote of confidence of the academic, professional and student communities.}

^{TvSTU is in 100 top Russian universities according to the All-Russian conference Problems and Prospects of the Development of Higher Education and Science in the Russian Federation as well as to the European Scientific and Industrial Chamber (ARES-2017).} 

TvSTU participated in 2016-2017 Thomson Reuters Global Institutional Profiles Project. TvSTU has the Institutional Profiles data available in the Clarivate Analytics service known as InCites^TM.

 Over 56 years of work, the university has educated more than 74 thousand specialists and researchers, which is a serious contribution to the social and economic development of the Tver Region and Russia on the whole.
