The Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri is a university in construction, with more than 50 years of tradition in Dentistry. The university is comprised of three campuses: Campus I and Campus JK, located at the city of Diamantina (MG), housing six faculties and 23 undergraduate courses; and the Advanced Campus of Mucuri, located at the city of Teófilo Otoni (MG), with three faculties which offer nine undergraduate courses. In the area of Research and Graduation, UFVJM has eight master programs, one doctorate program and nine multi-user laboratories, which has been equipped with large and advanced technology equipments to support research activities. UFVJM, through its Office of International Relations, agreed actions to promote interaction with international organizations and educational institutions, support and implement agreements of technical, scientific and cultural cooperation, enabling the exchange of undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, faculties and technicians of the university, and receiving beneficiaries students of these agreements.
