Uzbek State World Languages University

The University of Uzbek State World Languages (UzSWLU)  was established under the name of Tashkent State Pedagogy and Foreign Languages Institute in 1949, that is to say, the higher institution has the history of nearly 70 years. In 1992, after gaining independence, both the title and name of the institution were changed into the university and World Languages respectively.  At the time being, the campuses of the university are unique places to obtain knowledge and language skills for more than 6000 students. In fact, the university trains bachelors in 15 direction and masters in 13 specialties on the basis of the “National Program of personal training”. Qualified personal training at the university is conducted in accordance with state educational standards. There are seven faculties in university: Philological sciences (English, Roman-German, and Russian), International Journalism, Translation Theory and Practice.
