The University was founded on 13 May 2016  as a basic University of Uzbek Language and Literature in the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

The main goal targeted at restoring national values and reviving the centuries-old leading status of Uzbekistan as the cultural, educational,

and scientific centre for the peoples of Central Asia.

Mission of the Uiversity:

- Further development of the Uzbek language and literature on International arena

- Comparative and research work on Turkic dialects; implementation of joint scientific research with foreign centers for the study of language, culture, history and spiritual life of the peoples of Central Asia;

- Preparation of highly qualified specialists and pedagogical personnel in Uzbek as a foreign language for foreign educational and scientific organizations;

- Preparation of highly qualified translators and interpretors (simultaneous, consecutive, literary)

- Implementation of research in computational linguistics, digital pedagogy and cross-cultural communication;

- Development of the media and digital publishing work.

The University offers Preparatory courses, Undergraduate, Graduate (General/Double Degree), PhG, Doctoral and PostDoctoral Programs. 

Study courses are in Uzbek, English and Russian Languages. 

Additional activities includes Language classes and Summer/Winter School. 

The University's campus is located in the center of Tashkent - the Capital of Uzbekistan. It includes 4 big buildings with class rooms, audiences, laboratories and wifi-zones, big dormitorys, library, guest house for foreign teachers and visitors, sports complex, a number of canteens, green zone and parking.
