    The University offers 19 undergraduate programmes in the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Homeopathy, Allied health and Music.   Admission to these  courses is on the basis of the marks obtained  in the qualifying examinations of the University and NEET guidelines of Government of India. Students from various states of India and abroad obtain admission for these programmes.   

·         Undergraduate programs with annual intake are  as follows  – MBBS(200), B.Sc. Allied(83), BDS (92), B.Pharm (Belagavi, Hubballi & Bengaluru colleges) 230, B.Sc. Nursing (100) PB B.Sc, Nursing (17), BPT (105), Bachelor of Public Health (BPH), Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hindustani Classical Music- Vocal) and Bachelor of Public Health Hons.

·         Academic Calendar of Events formulated at the beginning of every academic session acts as a guide for structured  undergraduate  teaching-learning process.

·         The revision of the syllabus for the undergraduate programmes is undertaken once   in three years keeping in view the guidelines of the regulatory bodies, wherever applicable. The feedbacks obtained from students, alumni, industries, peers and subject experts are utilized to improvise on existing programs and curriculum. The course plan for undergraduate programs includes number of teaching, clinical, laboratory and practical hours, their distribution over the term and course objectives.

The University since its establishment has been conducting orientation / induction programs for fresh students every year at the beginning of the academic session. The senior faculty, administrators and Student Counselors are involved in conduct of these programmes. The induction programs for fresh undergraduate students along with their parents are conducted in each constituent unit for a period of 1-3 days and following information is provided to them.

·         All undergraduate courses offer have good clinical material and learning resources at 2400 bedded hospital and various community health centers.

·         University has well-equipped pre-clinical and clinical laboratories, and clinics which are monitored by teaching and technical  staff.  Undergraduate students are posted to  these laboratories and clinics as per the schedule  and their work is monitored  through log books, practical records, journals, etc.

·         All programs have well-designed log books/work diaries for  students in which they maintain records of number of procedures/clinical cases/surgeries they have observed, assisted, performed with assistance and carried out independently, which is then verified by the staff. 

·         University has strong mentorship program. Students in these programs are encouraged for co-curricular  and extracurricular activities including National Service Scheme activities  apart from academics. Students are provided with students code of conduct that explains disciplinary behavior expected from students at the campus. The campus has  excellent library facilities, hostel facilities,  facilities for extracurricular activities like gymnasium, canteen, rest rooms, health centers, sports facilities, etc.. students also have  health insurance scheme of the University.  the campus has  zero tolerance  for  ragging.  The  student counselor of the University helps the students to deal with  emotional, examination and other stress related issues.
