As part of its institutional project, UAI has aimed at the design, creation, development and implementation of graduate study programmes which meet the needs for specialized professional training identified in the social context. Equally importantly, this is based on the epistemic needs of each specific field of knowledge, as well as its regulations and a cross-study of the national and local academic offer. 

In that sense, the graduate study programmes offered at the Interamerican Open University have the purpose of fulfilling the improvement and updating requirements of the different professional profiles, by linking them closely to the needs for transformation and progress of our society.

Taking all this into account, the purported impact of UAI’s graduate study programmes is oriented to meeting the aforementioned needs and to relating coherently with the general objective of each School, in order to promote the constant training and updating of students according to the newest perspectives in scientific and technological development. Moreover, the University aims at designing academic strategies that promote comprehensive processes, committed to the acquisition of the relevant knowledge needed to tackle continuing, dominant or emergent social problems.
