All study programmes at UAI are aimed at meeting the needs of the local and national communities, as well as the specific demands of each professional field.
The structure and approach of the different study programmes give priority to curricular integration through the managing of issues specific to each field. This is implemented through collaborative work between faculty members, who continuously receive pedagogical training within the framework of an institutional programme.
Practical training is distributed along each study programme and is reinforced through integration seminars and apprenticeships.
Each professional profile is described in terms of professional competencies.
Each study programme includes:
●Courses in the area of Humanities for all study programmes: Current World Affairs, Introduction to Scientific Thinking, with contents related to Psychology, Sociology and Ethics.
●Courses for training in Information Technology and Foreign Languages.
●Opportunities for the integration of contents, represented by apprenticeships, integration seminars and workshops (from the third year of all study programmes), and thesis workshops. The contents of these courses derive from the issues identified in projects to tackle social problems considered urgent, as well as from the challenges facing the students when taking part in field work.
In order to guarantee the constant updating of scientific knowledge in each field, there are institutional structures and monitoring mechanisms for each study programme. Moreover, the syllabus of all courses are periodically assessed.
