Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE (Ex - Escuela Politécnica del Ejército)

Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE has great breadth and depth in academics, with more than 33 undergraduate programs for both on-campus and distance-learning modalities, as well as 12 technology programs that cover nationwide. On the strength of our prominent faculty, some of our academic programs are ranked  among the best in the country.  This emphasis on campuswide academic excellence has built our reputation as one of the nation's premier public universities. 

The areas of study of the undergraduate programs are: Security and Defense; Earth Sciences and Construction; Energy and Mechanical Sciences; Life sciences; Electrical and Electronics; Computer's science; Human and Social Sciences; Business and Finance Sciences; Basic Sciences. The language institute also offers Open English and Mandarin Chinese language courses from beginners to advanced levels.  The Open Languages courses are one semester language courses available to all the students within the university. The courses are free to all ESPE undergraduate students and at any stage of their degree. 

ESPE is a unique military university in Ecuador and a reference in the region, since all the personnel of the Armed Forces (Air Force, Navy Force and Army) obtain their undergraduate degree at ESPE. Nowadays, the military students pursuing an undergraduate degree reach the 20% of the total population of students. The civil-military relationship is a strength of ESPE University.  In response to its commitment to strengthening its academic management, the University has set up strategic alliances with foreign universities to launch an on-line degree projects as well as DUAL academic programs.
