Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University offers courses in foreign languages and intercultural communication. Today PSLU is training over 5500 undergraduate and graduate students as well as about 3500 students in continuing education from 41 regions of Russia and 26 other countries. The University's alumni work in 82 countries. It currently offers 22 foreign languages.
PSLU is also a major research and development center as well as is an excellent center of proliferation for languages and culture and a centre of peace in the Northern Caucasus. Various scientific and research conferences, symposia and international congresses are held at the University.
