Tashkent state university of Law (TSUL) is one of the leading universities in Uzbekistan,renowned as a national center of legal science and education, which prestigeextends far beyond the borders of the Republic.

Theuniversity includes 12 specialized and 3 general departments, the Center forthe professional training of legal personnel in accordance with internationalstandards, the Specialized Branch for training and retraining of legalpersonnel in the field of crime prevention and public safety and the AcademicLyceum. The university also provides guidance and coordination of 14 lawcolleges included in the system of educational institutions of the Ministry ofJustice, since the university is under the authority of the Ministry of Justiceof the Republic of Uzbekistan, the rector of the university holds the post ofthe Deputy Minister of Justice.

Teachingstaff of the university consists of more than 250 employees, of which more than20 doctors of sciences, 60 candidates of sciences, 20 professors, 30 associateprofessors.

The university preparesspecialists in the field of jurisprudence for all structures of state power, aswell as private structures. Currently, about 3600 students are studying at theuniversity, including 124 master candidates.

Theuniversity is renowned for its achievements in the field of legal training andis among the TOP best universities in the country. Training is conducted inthree languages: Uzbek, Russian and English. To study in English, one mustconfirm that you have knowledge of the English language with the valid IELTScertificate attached, in the absence of a certificate, an English language examat the university needs to be taken.

Theuniversity implements a two-stage system of education which meets the modernstandards:

•the first stage - preparation of bachelors (4 years in full-time);

•second stage - training of master candidates in the selected master's program(1 year).

TSULinternational cooperation is based on more than 30 agreements with foreignuniversities in Europe, Asia, America, research centers and researchinstitutes, as well as embassies, international research and educationalfoundations.

Amongthe partner universities of TSUL are; universities Osaka and Nagoya (Japan),the School of Law at Boston College (USA), the University of Law of GreatBritain, the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer and theGerman Research Institute of Public Law Management (FRG), Regensburg University( Germany), Shanghai University of Politics and Law (PRC), Ural State LawUniversity (RF), Polotsk State University (Republic of Belarus), Kazakh StateLaw University named after Narikbaeva (Kazakhstan) and many other universities.

Within the framework of the concluded Memoranda,an academic exchange of students and teachers is carried out, joint researchand internships are conducted.
